The Story Behind My Photography Journey

Introduction

In the busy streets of Kolkata, a young self-taught mobile photographer started a new journey of capturing the heartbeat of the city through the lens of his new smartphone. From the beginning - owning his first Samsung Galaxy A30 to becoming a popular name in the world of photography, the story captures the spirit of a boy who found his love for taking photographs while dealing with everyday life.

Begining of My Photography Journey

After finishing my 12th grade, I found myself with plenty of free time. Sometimes, I used to borrow my father's phone, the MI Note 6 Pro, to explore different things. Since it wasn't my own device, I didn't have it often. During this period, I visited my aunt's village in Bagnan. The experience in the village marked the beginning of my photography journey. As a city dweller, I cherished the tranquility of the village during my stay. One evening, when there was a power outage, my aunt lit a lantern. Feeling bored, I hit upon a plan. I placed the lantern behind an open book, shaping the pages of the book into Love, and captured some remarkable shots.

This marked the beginning of my photography journey. I found the magic of capturing moments through my lens. Little did I know that these initial explorations would ignite a lifelong passion for photography, leading me to capture the beauty of the world around me.

Now I am sharing my first-ever photo series, focused on the theme of love. Through these photos, I aimed to show how love can be found in different ways all around us. With a series of eight photos, I secured the second position. With the exception of the first photo, all were captured using my Samsung Galaxy A30.
